International Monetary Fund Databases

International Financial Statistics and Direction of Trade Statistics from the International Monetary Fund are now available online as subscription databases.

The Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTS) database presents figures on the value of merchandise exports and imports by trade partners as well as area and world aggregates showing trade flows between major areas of the world. DOTS provides access to monthly, quarterly and annual trade data from 1948 to the present for about 180 countries and geographic areas. Connect to it from the Databases list or from: http://www.ecu.edu/cs-lib/erdbs/erdbs_description.cfm?id=469

International Financial Statistics includes exchange rates, fund accounts and the main global and country economic indicators for more than 200 countries in about 32,000 time series going back as far as 1945. Retrieve series and download in CSV, Excel, HTML, or tab delimited files. Connect to it from the Databases list or from: http://www.ecu.edu/cs-lib/erdbs/erdbs_description.cfm?id=444
